Working tirelessly, Commissioner Brown’s efforts include: A new 85,000 square foot YMCA in downtown Silverdale providing recreational opportunities for children, family and seniors–with 200 new, permanent jobs. Planning with Kitsap Regional Library a new branch library to serve a growing Silverdale. Building Greaves Way, the first new road in Central Kitsap in over a decade, which will attract new businesses resulting in economic growth. Ensuring that the Seabeck Marina cleared regulatory hurdles necessary to restore a critical part of our community. A new temporary emergency shelter for homeless women with children in Silverdale, through a partnership spearheaded by Kitsap County. New, affordable, senior housing in the heart of Silverdale as part of the Central Kitsap Community Campus Plan.
