Working tirelessly, Commissioner Brown’s efforts include:
  • A new 85,000 square foot YMCA in downtown Silverdale providing recreational opportunities for children, family and seniors–with 200 new, permanent jobs.

  • Planning with Kitsap Regional Library a new branch library to serve a growing Silverdale.

  • Building Greaves Way, the first new road in Central Kitsap in over a decade, which will attract new businesses resulting in economic growth.

  • Ensuring that the Seabeck Marina cleared regulatory hurdles necessary to restore a critical part of our community.
  • A new temporary emergency shelter for homeless women with children in Silverdale, through a partnership spearheaded by Kitsap County.

  • New, affordable, senior housing in the heart of Silverdale as part of the Central Kitsap Community Campus Plan.

  • Completing the acquisition and planning of the extraordinary 1,000-acre Newberry Hill Heritage Park.
